Vichy Dermablend Foundation and Powder

Vichy Dermablend foundation and powder
Vichy Dermablend is a range I’ve never actually tried, although I frequently see it in the aisles of Boots.
The range was developed to camouflage complexion flaws while also providing an SPF to protect the skin from further damage.

Recently my skin has been terrible, and while I am leaning towards higher coverage, I also want to make sure the products I’m using won’t do any further damage by clogging my skin up.
Luckily Dermablend promises to fulfil both my criteria and after using it a couple of times I have to say I am really impressed with it!
I have the shade Nude (25) for the foundation, and while it is a tad too dark for my skintone, once it’s blended you can hardly notice it and it’ll be a perfect match in Spring/Summer once I catch a tan.

In the photo above all I have on my skin is the corrective foundation* (£18 here) and setting powder* (£15 here) and as you can see it leaves my skin tone looking really even and gives quite a natural finish although it is high coverage.
When I first used the setting powder I wasn’t sure how it would hold up during the day as it didn’t leave my skin feeling as matte as my usual powder does.
However, when it came to the end of the day, my makeup was still intact and there wasn’t a hint of oil in sight.
I’ve put the prices of each of these products above, and for something that gives such good coverage while also protecting your skin I think they’re a total bargain!
I’m a big fan of Vichy skincare products, and so does my skin, so I’ll definitely be using this duo a lot in the new few months.

I also love their skincare and using the foundation alongside it is great 🙂

  • This sounds promising! I struggle finding a good base which blots out any excess oil, but this sounds good. It looks flawless on you! xx

I have received some skin care items from this brand. Your skin looks so natural in the pic. I love natural looking products.

Me too! Luckily the coverage on this is really natural 🙂

  • I didn’t know they had these products…wonder if they are available in Canada! You have gorgeous skin!

    • DippyWrites

I have no clue if they are, sorry! Thanks 🙂

  • Vichy has been on my radar for ages, but I’m always so wary of things that claim to correct and cover things like acne and scars that I’ve yet to purchase anything from the range. After reading this I’m thinking I just need to go ahead and bite the bullet and give it a go! Great review! xx

I’m really wary too, nothing ever seems to live up to it’s promises! I can say this does give great coverage and I love knowing that it’s formulate to help rather than clog skin 🙂

  • Color Me So Crazy

I’m always curious about different setting powders. It’s always good to hear of a great brand that works.

Me too, I love discovering new, amazing brands 🙂

  • First off, you’re absolutely stunning! Second, I love the Dermablend setting powder, it’s definitely worth it. I need to try the foundation though. Thanks for sharing xo

  • The finished result is beautiful!! I need to try the foundation.
