Afternoon tea at the W hotel.
Afternoon teas seem to be featuring more and more often on my blog! I’m a huge tea and cake fan, so it’s really not a surprise that I’m talking about them both more.
This tea was SO different to any I’ve had before and it was all because it was punk-themed!
Tea and blogging chatter.
The great thing about blogger events is meeting lots of new people and forming new friendships.
I only knew one other blogger at the event, and it was nice to talk to a new group of girls and chat all things Instagram, WordPress and migrating across platforms.
We were each given a pot of tea to enjoy and it was nice being able to top up our drinks ourselves.
The W Hotel decor.
I’ve never seen anything quite like the decor at the W hotel, everything was just so over-the-top!
Above us was this giant, glittery disco ball and we just couldn’t help snapping photos of it.
The walls were also decorated with sparkly, black sequins.
I felt a bit like I was behind-the-scenes for a surreal 80s music video, which was really cool.
Punk-themed afternoon tea.
When I saw the afternoon tea menus, I knew we in for a treat.
I loved how brightly coloured each cake was and my favourite was definitely the strawberry and basil ice cream encased in a lip-shaped red chocolate shell.
My second favourite was the strawberry and lime mousse dome with a bright blue mohican – they looked amazing and were really tasty.
A super secret launch.
I wasn’t just at the W hotel for the food…
I actually got the chance to check out a new launch for brand Young Brittania and I’m seriously excited about sharing it with you guys!
Keep your eyes peeled, you’ll be the first to know when I’m allowed to release details.
