Power party dressing

Quiz gold foil power party dress

You know when you find that dress that makes you feel like a literal QUEEN?! Well, this is the one for me!

When I first tried this on I wasn’t too confident in it, it clung to every curve and, unlike the black I tend to stick to, highlighted them.

That said, I decided to embrace it and pose up a storm for this blog post, and I’m really pleased with how the photos turned out!

Party season is quickly approaching and this dress is definitely coming on some outings with me. It’s so pretty and unique, I’m certain I’ll be the only one wearing something like this.

The accessories

I wanted to keep the accessories with this simple because the dress is such a statement piece. I opted for my trusty black heels and I think the cut out detailing on them goes perfectly with the foil look dress.

I also popped on a choker for extra measure and I think the navy pom pom is seriously cute! I haven’t given into the chocker trend until now and I feel like I’ve found the perfect one.

Hair and makeup

I wore my hair straight for this look, and I feel it goes perfectly with the dress – I think if I had worn it curly it would have started to look a bit too 80s for my liking!

I’ve also kept my makeup fairly simple, with just a smudge of bronze eye crayon across my lids, lashings of mascara and high coverage foundation.

I’m not actually wearing anything on my lips (unheard of for me!) Β and I think it makes a nice change.

I can’t wait to wear this outfit out again, I’m hoping a super glamorous event will crop up soon so I can use it as an excuse!
