We all have one, don’t we?
That dress we slip into for an instant confidence boost. This one is mine.
Every time I put it on I feel like my body is transformed, highlighting the bits I like and minimising the bits I don’t.
For me, this dress nips me in at the waist, covers the tops of my arms, highlights my boobs and makes my legs look pretty damn long.
The stripes also help to give me the illusion of a curvier body, which I love!
Taking it from day to night
The other thing I love about this dress is just how versatile it is for me. It’s work appropriate, but would look equally as good on a date or in a bar catching up with friends.
I always wear it with these tan ankle boots – I just feel they compliment it perfectly, giving my legs a little bit more shape.
While I tend to stick to gold jewellery (probably because it’s what my mum wears, so what I grew up wearing when I was playing dress up as a ‘real grown up’) I think silver is perfect for this dress.
I kept everything simple and delicate, opting for this sparkly bangle and some stud earrings.
I decided against wearing a necklace with this, the neck line of the dress is quite high and I felt it would make everything look too cluttered if I did.
Do you guys have a ‘perfect dress’ in your wardrobe? What style is it and where is it from?
