Joan Collins Timeless Beauty
I’ve seen the Joan Collins Timeless Beauty range across quite a few blogs ever since it launched, so I was excited to test some of it out for myself this winter.
Anything that fits easily into my bag and is perfect for touchups is a winner for me, so this compact duo* has quickly found a place in my makeup routine.
The duo can come with any of the 16 Divine Lips lipsticks, and mine came with Katrina, a beautiful deep berry brown shade.
The pressed powder
I never used to use powder to set my makeup, but recently I’ve become quite addicted to buffing a bit of powder across my t-zone to prevent it from getting too oily later.
This pressed powder is really silky and smooth, meaning it glides onto my skin and doesn’t leave me looking cakey (which I HATE)!
The puff it comes with isn’t the most useful or efficient way to apply the powder, so I stick to using a kabuki brush to apply it instead, which gives a lovely, natural finish.
I wasn’t too sure if I would like this lipstick when I first saw it in the bullet, but after swatching it I have to admit I really like the colour!
It’s a warm berry brown, which I think will look perfect with a flick of liner or a subtle smokey eye.
The lipstick is really moisturising (you can kind of see it in the swatch I’ve done) which I find makes it a lot easier to wear.
Having this as part of the compact means I can easily touch up my lippie after eating/drinking – result!
Compacts are £34 each, with lipsticks at £18 and a full-sized powder at £22 it’s definitely worth the money.
