Liquid matte lips
I’m a massive fan of liquid lipsticks, and over the years I’ve tried so many different formulas I’ve really learnt what I like and don’t like. When I was first gifted these lipsticks, I honestly wasn’t that bothered about them. But, after testing one out when I couldn’t decide what to wear on my lips I was instantly hooked.
Since then, these are the only lipsticks I’ve really been wearing and I’m just so impressed by them I had to write a blog post all about them (even though they really don’t fit into my monthly blog theme!)
The USP for these, in my opinion, is just how brilliantly they last. One swipe across my lips in the morning and I’m set for the whole day. Yes, you read that right, one swipe and you’re good. ALL DAY. No crumbling, no rubbing off as you eat/drink, no bleeding.
I’ve separated these into three sections – brights, pinks and nudes.
I’ve worn each shade at least once now, and they’re all such brilliant shades I really recommend heading down to your closest GOSH counter and giving them a good swatch.
Each liquid lipstick is £8.99
Chinese Red – This is definitely a pink-based red, and I find the vibrant shade really perks up my whole appearance! I typically find brights quite tricky to wear (I just think they’re too strong for my pasty skin) but this one is gorgeous and perfect if I’m wearing a similar shade in my outfit.
Berry Me – I love a good purple shade, and this muted purple is the perfect way to add some colour. I’ve been wearing nude lipsticks non-stop recently, so this purple shade is a refreshing break from my usual lipstick wardrobe.
Nougat Fudge – A warm pinky nude, I find this is the perfect ‘my lips but better’ shade when I’ve opted for a smokey eye. Nude lips are kind of my ‘safe zone’ so I knew I was going to love this as soon as I saw it!
Nougat Crisp – This nude is a lot more cool toned, and more of a brown shade. I wouldn’t typically go for this colour, I always worry it’s going to look a bit flat. But this is a really lovely brown nude and goes perfectly with a slick of liner.
Pink Sorbet – A beautiful bright pink, this is perfect for those of you who worry pink is going to look too girly – it really packs a punch! I tend to steer clear from true pink lip colours, but this one is so bright and vibrant I can’t resist wearing it.
Candyfloss – This shade isn’t as light as I imagined it would be, which I’m really pleased about. It’s a warm pink shade that I have a feeling will be universally flattering. As I mentioned, I tend to steer clear of pinks, but this is such a wearable shade I’ve found myself reaching for it a lot recently.
