For years I’ve stored my jewellery in THE most boring, brown jewellery box and when I was using it I found it really hard to find the individual pieces of jewellery I wanted to wear and my necklaces and bracelets were constantly getting tangled.
Freya was clearing out some things from her room and these two glass boxes were some of the things she was planning to throw out. They were so pretty, I couldn’t resist saving them and after a quick brainstorm I decided they would be perfect for storing some of my favourite jewellery pieces in. I’ve tried to colour theme them, with gold, rose gold and red pieces in the larger box and blue pieces in the smaller box.
The larger box
I keep quite a few of the pieces I wear daily in this box, including my engraved ring and twig ring. I also have a couple of pins in here and a watch that needs its strap replaced (this is actually a great way to store it while I’m waiting to replace the strap!).
I also have a beautiful ear cuff and some teardrop shaped hoops which I wear at least once or twice a week. By sticking to red, pink, gold and rose gold tones this box feels really nicely themed and although the pieces are placed quite haphazardly, it still feels put together.
The smaller box
There’s only space for three things in the smaller box, so I decided to go for the pieces that had tones of blue in them. The largest thing is this pompom chocker which I love wearing on nights out because it’s so cute! This eye pin is also perfect for popping on my jumpers and shirts, especially if they’re a block colour.
Finally, these Vivienne Westwood earrings are some of my favourites to wear because they’re just so pretty. I love the mix of colours in them, and they’re perfect for accessorising my more basic outfits.
