Ideal World Blogger’s Box*
I’m always on the hunt for new places to shop for beauty bargains, so when I was given the opportunity to test out a selection of products that you can buy via Ideal World I couldn’t resist! Ideal World stock a selection of beauty brands – some of which I was already familiar with and some that I had never heard of before.
As you can see above, I was sent a box packed full of exciting products, and after photographing them for this post I got stuck into testing them out. I’ve written mini reviews of each item below, so read on to hear my thoughts!
Skinn Rosette palette
Unfortunately, this palette doesn’t seem to still be on the Ideal World website, which is a shame because it’s gorgeous! If you’re a big fan of the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette, then this is a really good dupe with some very similar shades. I’ve used this to create a smokey rose gold eye and the shadows are amazingly pigmented and don’t crease if you use a primer under them.I’m sure I’m going to get lots of use out of this.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Gel Eyeliner
I’ve used liquid liner for years now, so I was excited to switch it up a bit and give gel liner a go. This glides on and gives a really defined wing. However, I do find it’s not as pigmented as the KIKO liquid liner that I use, so I tend to use this to ‘mark’ my liner before going over it with the more pigmented liquid liner.
The lip products
Elizabeth Grant lip stain in Sugar Rose – Lip stains are the perfect way to get a subtle wash of colour on your lips. I remember when I fist came across Benetint, I was hooked! Sugar Rose is a subtle, warm pink and one swipe of it across my lips gives a lovely natural finish that dries really fast and stays put.
Skinn Moisture lipstick in Rose – I haven’t swatched this on my lips yet, but the colour looks really pretty. The pigmented lipstick is surrounded by a balm and so I’m hoping this will mean it’s a lot more moisturising when I wear it.
Elizabeth Grant Moisture Stick – I’m (just a bit) addicted to lip balms, I can’t leave the house without at least one stashed in my handbag. This one glides on and leaves my lips feeling moisturised all day, perfect.
Elizabeth Grant Body Lotion – I’m not a big user of body lotions, but this one smells lovely so I’m going to try to be good and use it. I really love the pink packaging of this as well, it’s so eye catching.
Zhuzh! Tan Accelerator Swipe – I rarely tan, but I’ve definitely been more tempted to recently as the weather’s been getting warmer. These wipes are supposed to help your tan develop quicker, so I think I’m going to give them a go next weekend.
Crystal Clear 10 Minute Glow – I love a good face mask, and this peel off one promises to help your skin glow. The fact that it’s peel off means it’s going to be really easy to remove and I can’t wait to see how it improves my skin.
