Stila Stay All Day
We’ve all been there. A couple of hours into the work day and with an unflattering ring of lipstick desperately clinging to our lip line while our foundation disintegrates before our eyes…I’ve had SO MANY makeup mishaps in the past, so when I find products that truly lock into place, and stay firmly put for the whole day, I’m a very happy lady.
I’ve heard lots of people rave about Stila in the past, especially when it comes to their Stay All Day products, so naturally I was curious to see how they hold up through a full day of commuting into London and working. I was sent their foundation*, liquid liner*, liquid lipstick* and a smudge pot* to put to the test and I have to say I was left VERY impressed. So much so, that these products have quickly replaced their equivalents in my daily makeup routine.
So…let’s get into a breakdown of each product, and how it wears throughout the day. Below is a photo I took just after applying everything, as you can see the finish is flawless and pigmented. There’s a slight bit of creasing under my eyes, but I’ve yet to find a product that doesn’t do that on me, so I’m happy to let it slide.
Stay All Day Foundation & Concealer
This is genius, and it makes applying a full and high coverage base a total dream. The finish of the foundation is medium coverage, but dewy, and if I was time limited I would happily go out with just this on. The concealer gives high coverage where you need it (for me it’s on blemishes) and is really easy to blend without compromising the coverage. This did crease under my eyes (and I did have marks from my glasses) but to be honest, it wasn’t anything dramatic and took me seconds to smudge back in. It stayed put all day, and wore really well throughout the day. I wasn’t left looking cakey or patchy, and seeing as I didn’t set it with powder I am really impressed that it lasted so long on its own.
Smudge Pot and Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner
This duo is the real dream team when it comes to highly pigmented, crisp, black liner. I’ve heard great things about Stila’s smudge pots, especially Kitten, so I had high expectations for the black version. I used it as my liner base, drawing out a guideline for where I wanted the wing to be. If I was going for a more smokey, sudgey look, I could have probably just left it at that, but I’m a sucker for those sharp lines so I had to go in after with the liquid eye liner.
I’ve never been able to achieve such a crisp line freehand, I was honestly shocked and SO impressed! This liner is jet black, so it’s easy to get a highly pigmented line with just one swipe. Some liners crumble or crack on me throughout the day, that was so far from the case with this one. Twelve hours on and I still had a jet black, crisp line which I’m sure would have lasted many more hours.

Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Fiery
I bloomin love wearing a red lip, but boy can it be a pain to apply. More than once I’ve ended up with a red smudge on my chin post-lunch, which is near impossible to get rid of. This lipstick truly locks in place, and DOES.NOT.BUDGE. I sipped coffee, I ate a sandwich, I snacked on crisps, and it was still looking as fresh as it did when I first applied it by the end of the day. Truly impressive.
As you can probably gather, I’ve been left really impressed by these products, and I now have a couple of new bits on my ‘to buy’ list from Stila (mainly a couple more liquid lipsticks and smudge pots). Are you a fan of Stila? What do you think of their products?
